Since the company's founding in 1968, Holz-Thurner has been regarded as a reliable sales partner for the European sawmill and wood industry. Today, our team mediates and trades approximately 300,000 m3 of sawn coniferous timber and finished wood products from three different business sectors.
1. Wood Trade
Holz-Thurner, is a well-known and reliable partner of the European sawmill and wood industry, we trade in sawn coniferous and processed wood products with several bulk purchasers. The most prominent Italian timber traders as well as large industrial companies are among our customers. We have selected more than 150 delivery companies from the sawmill and wood industry from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, whom are able to fulfill almost all wood and product requirements. We choose our suppliers according to our selection criteria which asseses technical equipment, quality perception, and on-time delivery.
2. International Timber Trade
Holz-Thurner operates as a strong partner in international trade and offers a variety of different wood products. In this business area, several particular wishes such as combined cargoes, partial quantities of valuable wood materials or even high quality natural wood, can be met. Furthermore, wood flooring can be sold to timber trade or to the processing (sector) industry at home and abroad.
3. Regional Timber Market
The company's latest second pillar is called "Platzholzhandel" which uses our broad range of international contacts to sell locally high quality wood products (lumber (Bauholz)/ wooden plates /BSH / KVH etc.) and also hight quality wood flooring directly from our new warehouse and wood store. Therefore, quality-conscious carpenters, but also private customers from the surrounding area, are served quickly and flexibly. In addition, Italian customers and partners from the sawmill and wood industry are able to use oure storage areas temporarily store their wood products. Due to it's company Holz-Thurner has also gained access to the European dimension in the timber industry as a distribution partner. The three business sectors complement each other and help to increase the "future viability" of the company.
